Fadestar: Fate of Phaetonia is now Heaven's Stone Ring. In this major update, several changes were made to the game:

• Visual uplift, with new tileset, character sprites, animations, and artwork
• A different story approach, removing most of the nonsense NSFW content previously such as:
  • The brothel
  • Missing people
  • Unused adult scenes
• A new set of quests to proceed with the story in a meaningful way. (As the game is being reworked, there are not that many yet, but all currently are stepping stones in the main plot.)

A focus shift from web player to desktop download:

As more and more content was made for this game, I quickly hit the 1000 file count limit for itch.io's web player. This means that the web player will now no longer be prioritized and rather serve a purpose of a demo up to whatever point it can reach at a maximum. In addition, I've added new plugins to enhance the game, which are not yet fully supported by the EasyRPG interpreter that the Web Player uses. If you download the Windows version, you still have a choice between running the game via EasyRPG's player (through Player.exe) OR through the native RPG_RT.exe, which is recommended, because the RPG_RT.exe should allow and enable the plugins to work via DynPlugins. You will see a small splashscreen at the start to know if this worked. Due to the nice added features of the DynPlugins, I will be promoting the desktop downloadable version as the best play experience.

There is still a lot more to do, and likely many bugs. It has been exactly 31 days (1 month) since I announced the changes, and a lot of work was put into this, but there are still some issues: 

• Because of the complete remake, the size of maps and their new tilesets may have some visual bugs or passability issues. 
• In general there may be a lot of bugs as a lot was changed for the story events and quests. 
• Some artwork is still being implemented, such as face graphics, expressions, busts, and are not yet present. 

Regardless, thank you for taking the time to play my passion project. The goal is to keep this game free and set the series' lore and setting for future sequels (Which are already planned and some already exist with a framework.)
